Excel Formula
Does anyone know of a way to send a result from one worksheet in Excel to another? I am making a worksheet with various additions for the month, but I want the second sheet to show only the 12 monthly results without having to constantly enter them manually. Thanks.

You don't send it from one place to another, instead you need to pull it to the new location.

Here is an example of this in Excel 2002:

- Create a new Excel document.
- Enter a number in cell A1 on the first worksheet (I entered 5)
- Click "sheet2"
- Click in cell A1 on this sheet
- Enter the following in the formula bar and press enter: =Sheet1!A1
- Observe: sheet2 now has "5" in cell A1
- Go to sheet1, change "5" to "6"
- Look at sheet2, cell A1 now has "6" in the cell

Regards,
Rudy

You don't have to type in the formula either. You can type an equal sign in the formula bar on sheet 2, then select sheet 1 and the cell, then hit the enter key. Excell will place the reference to sheet 1, cell #X into sheet 2.
You can do as oodways says or mine its up to you.

It works even better with Free OpenOffice Suite's Calc Spreadsheet (version 2.3, 2007).
