i would hate that to be the case, but if things dont look better by the end of the week i think i'll move my sites elsewhere and have my referred friends do the same thing..

And here. Actually I already found another host, just waiting to see if the speed on that one is better.

I'm currently using 2 different hosts. . . . mainly file sharing for gaming.

I'm hearing my users are getting between 40-80KB/s on this network and 200-600KP/s on the other one.

I know I'm not hogging bandwidth here, only pushing out a few gigs a day.

Definately need to do something about this

wow thats too bad.. i still have plenty of time before the 97 day thing but this is ridiculous. they must be having some sort of network issues.. the panel seems to be down as well now. they could have installed a packet shaper and limited each hosts bandwidth to 80k or so...

no announcement or anything.

I've already finished moving my site to another host and have requested my money refunded. Let's hope at least this holds.

Edit: Ok the refund works. Guess this is the end between me and DreamHost.

Amen. Its been slow for weeks but tonight is unbelievable. I have a flat html page (no php or cgi) with a few images that totals 39K. It takes OVER 20 seconds to load. Pathetic. I'm on various boxes within highland.dreamhost.com. Top, iostat and vmstat all look fine. I dont understand how a machine which looks so non-busy can be so damn slow.

I'm having the same issues as everyone else. I'm on cienega and it's not only slow on accessing my domain, but my sites don't work sometimes. It looks like there is a php problem because when i can't access my sites correctly, it tires to download the php files rather than parse them.

I really hope this stuff clears up, because Dreamhost - if it would run faster - would blow all other hosts out of the water as far as value goes.

*fingers crossed*
