No worries! I'm glad my notes were useful to you. I just managed to get Gallery installed and have written up a similar set of notes. I found Gallery to be much trickier to install than Movable Type. My notes for Gallery are at http://www.wombatnation.com/misc/install...mHost.html

Thanks for documenting all your hard work! There should be a "sticky" note at the top of this forum with your install guides, so people don't have to hunt to find it, you know? Anyway, I'm up and running thanks to you. Smile http://www.baizman.net/blog/

Take care,

Nope... it should probably be showing up. What's the domain, and what's the MySQL hostname?

domain: completesquare.org
DBHost: mt.completesquare.org

i went ahead with the flat file db since i couldn't get it to fly, but i guess i'd rather use mysql if it's possible.

It should have updated, but didn't; I've updated it by hand for you, so it should work now. Sorry about that (folks, this is why you should try to include your real domain name if you expect a question like this to get answered).

Make sure to use /home/username as your path and not /home/.blah/username - MT gets /home/.blah/username from the system, and uses this.. there's a good chance your site will break down the road if you don't change this.
