Looking for Info.
Currently I have 4 MP3 that files are available via my website. However on my system clicking on them causes a new Browser window to open up with Quicktime and then it waits for the entire file downloads before quicktime plays it.

I want to make it so that the visitors default MP3 player is launched and then the files start streaming. I've searched the knowledge base, but only found information on streaming Quicktime MOV files.

Thanks!

AFAIK how you get MP3's (what app & stream or dl first) is mostly a matter of your (local) system set-up, assuming you're using somthing like Name to link to the file. post a link to the page or just see what the links on this page do on your system (the last link is the smallest file I think)

Btw: Hi ::waves:: I'm the same Crys from the MT boards.

Thanks, that is exactly the same thing I'm doing now and your URLs give me the same results. It downloads in it's entirety first, then Quicktime plays it as apparently it is my embedded MP3 player for IE.

Not knowing your system, I don't know what to change to get it to dl mp3's the way you want -- on my system mp3 links are grabbed by Netscape Smart Download (yes from ie) downloaded and then played in WinAmp -- I get very poor results from streaming (MSN sucks), which was what my system used to do...
