How to run scp command in background after logging out session ?
I am dreamhost customer and i am trying to transfer files from old remote server to new (dreamhost) remote server.

How to run scp command in background after logging out session ?

When i run this command

Quote:scp -r root@ipaddress:/home/admin/www www

It starts uploading files from old remote server to new remote server but i have power shutdown problem in my country so i cannot see every file being transferred, i heard scp can run in background that means even after closing ssh access from putty client my job will be done.

Can you tell me how i can run scp command on dreamhost in background even after logging out session ?

Please urgent reply.
