Has anyone been able to install it on dreamhost? I’m getting the most annoying customer response quoting security and unable to help.
We’ve done this for dedicated clients a time or two (and for some internal stuff), but we don’t have any plans to do this for shared hosting customers.
I don’t know a lot about this, but my understanding is that the actual performance benefits are very small in most cases.
i’ve done this on shared hosting. I’ve used php.ini and point it to start the ZendOptimizer.so.
However dreamhost doesn’t support php.ini override. how exactly does one get zend optimizer to work?
That’s what I’m saying… one doesn’t.
