I developed my site using dreamhosters to create a subdomain (the subdomain name was my domain’s name). All good. Went live. All good. Stopped mirroring. All good (once I fixed all the links that still had mydomain.dreamhosters in it). But after mirroring I don’t know how to log in to Wordpress to edit and manage my site. I’m overlooking something really easy, but I’d be grateful for anyone to tell me what it is.
you should just be able to add /wp-admin to the end of the URL.
I can and when I do it goes directly to “http://www.innerpeaks.dreamhosters.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.innerpeaks.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1”. So it redirects to include the “dreamhosters” part and that’s what I’m confused by. I can get into the WP CMS by using the UN and password I’ve been using with dreamhosters. Ah – idea – is it because I changed my “Site Address URL” to www.innerpeaks.com in the Settings > General but have NOT changed over the “Wordpress Address URL” (it’s still http://www.innerpeaks.dreamhosters.com). ??
LakeRat – Thanks, I fig’d it out. It was my WP url setting. “Amateur hour.” – M
