Wordpress redirect to root

wordpress

#1

Hi,

I installed wordpress into: mysite.com/blog

I want people to be able to go to mysite.com and see my blog. But I do not want the URL to show mysite.com/blog I just want it to rewrite it to appear as mysite.com for wordpress rather than being in a subfolder.

Thanks,

Sean

Go to the panel for Domains -> Manage Domains and change the web directory to mysite.com/blog

Then get into WordPress’ wp-admin and change the configuration accordingly.

But in the long term, I suggest that you just up and move it to the parent directory to keep things clean. WordPress can update itself, so you really don’t need to maintain One-Click upgradeability.

I ended up moving to the parent directory and all is well.

Thanks!
