WordPress - Error establishing a database connection

After using FTP to add a plug-in and theme to the wp-content folder, I receive the following message when trying to access http://www.realfoodbabybug.com/wp-admin/.

Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at mysql.realfoodbabybug.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

The username and password worked fine before uploading the plug-in (Enhanced Admin Bar w/ Codex Search) and theme (iFeautre).

How do I regain access to wp-admin?

(looks like you got this fixed by reverting to vanilla WP)

Using an FTP connection remove the new theme and plugin you just added from your WordPress files.

See if you can get in now.

If still no joy, make sure your WP config file is in the root of your WP install and is still correct.
