Wordprees Help

#1

I’m new to web hosting and having a site on WordPress. I signed up for the complete Dream Host package and everything has been good so far. I choose the Pilcrow (version 1.4) theme for my WordPress blog but don’t know much about HTML/CSS/formatting.

I was wondering if anybody knows how to get rid of the filed under and tagged as section that appear on blog posts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

salvatore - generally that’s done by editing your theme. The catch with that is if you edit the theme directly, and then upgrade the theme later to a newer version, you lose your changes.

The easiest way to avoid that is to make a child theme: http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

Basically you’d make your own ‘pilcrow-child’ theme. Then you’d want to add this to your stylesheet:

.tagged {
display: none;
}

The other way, which may actually be even easier, is to install a plugin that lets you edit the CSS safely. The plugin Jetpack has this ability.

Awesome. Thanks. I downloaded Jetpack and used the CSS Stylesheet Editor to add in that code and it worked!
