This appears to be caused by the nightly backups of the wiki. For small periods the database will be very slow and the website times out. I don’t have an immediate fix right now. The problem is that the wiki uses a myism table still since it needs the full text search functionality and that doesn’t allow non-blocking backups like innodb tables. I have alerted the admins to the problem.

I should’ve searched “bagostuff” before posting. Now that I have, the admins might be interested to know similar problems have been previously reported at various times of day.
