When sending emails via SMTP

… will it log all sent messages?

I’ve set up cubecart to email via smtp using the correct info (smtp on the same domain as site). However, some emails are received, others aren’t. It has nothing to do with gmail (not confusing it with current DH issues) as it’s not used.

Is there a way to see what has been sent via smtp?

Shouldn’t the mailserver automatically archive the emails sent via smtp in that accounts ‘sent messages’ folder?

Any help greatly appreciated.

As I understand it, or at least in my experience, a copy to the “sent” folder is usually something the client controls.

But I could be wrong. I was before but since all my clients control “copy to sent”, I’d assume it’s not a default behavior of smtp.
