What's service FTP "cgi", how do I get rid of it?

#1

I’ve a domain showing “Site is 'cgi” (below), with no idea what this means or how it was set. (It’s Edit settings look identical to the non-‘cgi’ domain that follows it).

How do I set this to a normal domain so that FTP’s [Upload to site] becomes available for it? Thanks.

Chris

PS How on this forum do I post a para in fixed-width font?

Oh bum. I tried getting rid of it by deleting and recreating the web service… shafting the site with the dreaded bad_httpd_conf error. Two hours since reporting it, still not a word or fix from Support :frowning:

“cgi” just means that you can run scripts in that account, handy if you have interactive features you wish to use like programs to process form responses. It doesn’t harm FTP access in any way.

But I can do that on non-‘cgi’ accounts.

It does prevent the panel showing the FTP Upload link.
