Website Down

#1

Listen to this nightmare:

I run an art gallery. Our website (thus POS system) is down. The site was designed by the owner. It is hosted by the owner’s tech-savvy friend. This friend is really hard to get a hold of. I ask the owner who hosts his website and he says “Eric”. That’s all he knows.

So I do a whois and find out this Eric uses Dreamhost. So here I am. What do I do from this point to regain control of our website: Hauntingart.com?

Thanks in advance.

The person that pays the bill for the hosting account needs to get their user and password and then you’ll have access to it and you’ll be able to take over the site. You’ll need to contact DH official support for this.
