My website suddenly display the following message:"Not FoundThe requested URL / was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."
And I can't access the DreamHost Panel to submit a ticket. But I FTP to my account, and all files seems normal. I didn't do any change today.
My URL is http://www.janiceforum.com
Check to see if everything is located in the "janiceforum.com" directory. If it is, it's probably best to contact support via the tab to get a quick response (I would mark it as site down, that sets it to higher priority.)
I had the same thing happen to all of our sites at 5PM PST today. All files were intact in shell, but the webserver kept giving 404. I shot a site-outage ticket to DH, and they fixed it in 30 minutes.
Both of my sites went down a couple of hours ago. I'm new to DreamHost. I logged in and sent them an email. Are they pretty good about getting things fixed in a timely manner?
Self Edit: Just got a reply email. DNS issues, should be resolved in a couple of hours.
Well, this is the first blatant site outage for us and it got fixed in 30 minutes, so that was pretty good.
Albeit my longest running ticket was three weeks before it saw any action, so YMMV I guess. In general they've been pretty good about it.
I got a reply from Jeff on my support ticket about this, and it boils down to a DNS breakdow that they fixed again, so that's the explanation.
