Webshell access

I need to make sure my database agrees with dreamhost’s. Do I have webshell access…or is this something I should ask dreamhost to do?

All users have webmail access. By default, this is accessed by going to:

http://webmail.yourdomain.com/

…replacing ‘yourdomain.com’ with your actual domain name.

What database are you updating?

What’s “webshell” access?

Ahh! Hrm. I suppose I misread that post.

We support the web… We support shell access…

Will, we have Lynx installed on all of our machines, right? That’s “webshell”, in a sense. :>

Are you trying to install PostNuke or PHPNuke? I think I’ve read a couple tutorials that advise to double-check your ability to set permissions and access.

If that’s what you’re trying to do, you shouldn’t have any problems… the install scripts will do the work for you.

I have an older version of movabletype that was on another server. I need to upgrade the database, so that I can temporarily use it and export my entries into my new file and application. I was told to try to do a db_upgrade and a db_upgrade185, but neither worked on my existing database.

I don’t know much about how to fix this, so any help would be appreciated…
