Web FTP upload difference

#1

On the web FTP, there are three different ways to upload, “Upload,” "Java Upload, and “Flash Upload.”

Does this just mean that you use Java and Flash upload to upload various types of Java and Flash script, or does it mean that it’s three different ways to upload regular files? If so, what is the difference?

You can use the Java and Flash interfaces to upload regular files - they’re really just different methods.

Which would would I use if I want to edit a file saved on my computer and have it change in the ftp without having to reupload it?

Or is that not possible?

You have to upload it in order to copy it from your computer to another computer. If the file is a text file then you can make changes it to it through a web page:

  1. Check the box next to the icon for the file.
  2. In the Actions drop-down menu, scroll to the bottom and under "Transform selected entry: " select “Edit”
  3. Make changes then click on the disk icon to save them.
