Want to give DH a heads up, how do I do this?

#1

I am expecting two of my domains (well, one and a sub) to get substantially increased traffic soon (perhaps as many as 1000 hits in one day), and I’d like to give DreamHost a heads up about it. I have no idea how I would do this. I don’t want to submit a ticket, because I’m not actually experiencing an issue (well, not with that domain and not yet).

I couldn’t find anything in the Wiki or the cpanel after about 20 minutes of looking.

Thanks for the heads up!! Sending a ticket to our support Dream team is generally the best way to get a hold of us

Looking into your domains, found a a few suggestions:

berserkon.com - wp-super-cache is enabled, you may want to use the “mod_rewrite” caching method in the advanced tab for the most in caching

webfora.net/blog - no caching enabled, needs some if that is the traffic site.

forums you will need to see what caching you can do in the admin panels for it

Again for any additional support needed please send us a ticket here https://panel.dreamhost.com/index.cgi?tree=support.msg& and we’ll be sure to look into it right away!

almost forgot … here’s a wiki link as well http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Expecting_increased_web_traffic
Hope that helps,

You always will need to streamlime a website
HTML or WordPress or any other.

But 1000 hits a day, if all is stream-lined, shared hosting is enough on DH.

1000 hits is a small, smaller website.

BUT the again, take care it runs smoothly and does not eat server memory.
If it does time for VPS, extra $$$ or personal server

Thanks a lot

I know 1000 hits isn’t much, going from 0-1000 in a single day may cause a problem and I wanted to at least give them a heads up.
