Anyway we can install on a ps?
Edit: I have it installed which was very easy. I want to make the folder protected now from the public.
I don't know if the panel works the same with PS accounts, but you can try this:http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Password-protecting_directories
sweet thanks. it works. I'll mess around more with the settings. if a directory doesn't have a index file is there a way if they don't know the password can I redirect to home page.
Maybe one of the .htaccess gods can answer, but my lame approach would be to take advantage of a 404 and create a notfound.html file for the domain that does a META refresh to the home page.http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Creating_custom_error_pageshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meta_refresh
On second read, you're asking about a failed password attempt. I dunno. Maybe someone else does. I don't know what kind error Apache throws for a failed password attempt.
