vBulletin problems

apps

i’m kind of in a fix here.

i installed vbulletin 3.0.3. and have 2 problems…

if i run it php-cgi i can’t use the archive feature. it works when i
run the forum as an apache module.

and if i run it php-cgi i can use a php cron to backup my database
through their control panel. if i run it as an apache(exec disabled
error). it doesn’t work.

so no matter which way i go i lose a feature i want. is there a way i
can do both? a way to get the archive (basically a pda version, using
generated html pages) to work with php-cgi?

This is an old post, but I’d like to add that I’m interested in an answer to this question as well.

Actually, I’m running vBulletin under PHP-CGI, and think I want the ‘archive’ feature more than I want anything else, but I’m worried about what will happen if I change the “PHP as CGI” checkbox on the domain. Will it break anything? I’m currently using an “AddHandler” line in an .htaccess file. I presume this will have to be removed?
