Using non-official subversion?

apps

#1

Hi,

I’d like to install a newer version of svn, and found the information in the wiki about installing it.

The question is, can I use this installed version remotely via web_dav?

The instrucions for doing this imply loading the mod_dav_svn in the apache httpd server, something that, AFAIK, I can not do.

The instructions in the wiki are only good for the client or for a repository with only local access?

Anyone was able to install a newer svn server with remote access?

TIA

One option would be to use svn over ssh. This is how I connect to the existing subversion install, and how I would connect if I were to intall my own local subversion copy.

However, this requires that anyone accessing the repository to also have an ssh account and proper access to the repo files.
