Using Dream Host forms

#1

Hi I just added a new contact form to my website here
http://www.rebeccagrantham.com/contact.html

and am trying to test it out, but the server is timing out.
or just waiting and waiting…

Is there something I did wrong? because it worked like a charm before.

Is there a better resource for creating contact forms?

I wanted to use dreamhosts and not pay to use another service

what does everyone else do for reliable form service?

The problem is obviously because you changed to “green” hosting, and bragged about it.

I use DH formmail. It is slow now, but works for me.

Testing your form, I got complaints from no-script in Firefox, and a displayed error, following. Don’t know exactly how to fix it, but maybe somebody else does.
Error: The stylesheet http://www.rebeccagrantham.com/contact.html was not loaded because its MIME type, “text/html”, is not “text/css”.
Source File: http://www.rebeccagrantham.com/contact.html
Line: 0

Warning: Selector expected. Ruleset ignored due to bad selector.
Source File: http://www.rebeccagrantham.com/contact.html
Line: 82

[NoScript XSS] Sanitized suspicious upload to [formmail.dreamhost.com/cgi-bin/formmail.cgi] from [rebeccagrantham.com/contact.html]: transformed into a download-only GET request.

Error: GET request

The HTML form fails to specify the POST method, so it would not be correct for this script to take any action in response to your request.

If you are attempting to configure this form to run with FormMail, you need to set the request method to POST in the opening form tag, like this:
