I’m pretty sure he knows what USENET is, and there is a server “usenet.dreamhost.com” here.

Why do you need to write to it from your DreamHost account? Why not use groups.google.com?

That’s funny, here’s what I get from home:
usenet.dreamhost.com has address 206.112.100.132

However, further testing doesn’t do a reverse lookup, nor can I ping it. So much for that.
