Uploading with Mac/ 9.1

#1

Thinking of setting up camp at DreamHost. Anybody have any information about uploading content using Adobe GoLive 5.0 and also CGI or Perl scripts for greeting cards, classified ad boards, shopping carts, etc to the Linux environment? Just starting to read a bit about all this, and I want to make sure that down the road there won’t be a conflict. Ron

Hi Ron!

For Mac OS 9, your best bet is to grab one of the more established classic Mac FTP clients out there: Fetch, NetFinder, or Anarchie. They’re all pretty popular, and work great with our services.

You can find any of these at www.versiontracker.com

As a general rule, doing stuff on your Mac won’t cause any problems, as most ‘web stuff’ is fairly cross-platform. If you run into trouble, though, feel free to post a message and we’ll be happy to help you out!
