Updating a One Click Install of Wordpress

wordpress

** I have no wordpress experience and am asking on behalf of a client **

I have a client who is developing a wordPress site locally on their system/pc. They are now looking to set it up on my server with a hosted domain.

Should they utilize the One Click Install, and then modify this instal with the desired themes and such? Will this cause disconnects with the database that wordpress runs off of?

In general, what is the best way to install wordpress, and allow the client to easily port over what they have been working on?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Depending on how in depth there changes are the simplest is just to do an one click install, and then apply the same theme and other changes they have made.

If they have done extensive development and you wish to actually move the site, start here: http://wiki.dreamhost.com/WordPress#Moving_A_WordPress_Installation

I went with the one click and the work was easily exported over to the production server.
Thanks for the info.
