Twitter Card being Blocked

#1

Twitter Card Validator says it is being blocked:

“The card for your website will look a little something like this!
Unable to render Card preview
ERROR: Failed to fetch page due to: HttpConnectionTimeout”

This started about 3 weeks ago. I have Twitter OG Card code on all pages that was used in Tweets for years, now the Card Validator can’t connect to the Dreamhost server to retrieve that code.

It is not my htaccess rules. The errors do not even show in my access logs. All indication shows it is the Dreamhost server since there’s no problems with other (non-Dreamhost) websites.

I don’t see the timeout when connecting to an east or west coast DH shared host server. I wonder if the timeout is specific to a particular server or IP?

I am having the same issue for my page even though I have the correct meta tags for Twitter card. getting ERROR: Failed to fetch page due to: HttpConnectionTimeout when validating Twitter card.

Submitted a support ticket. Their investigation identified a failure at one point in a ping test:
199.59.156.10, which belongs to
http://www.kyvon.com, (a cloud service Twitter is using)

We all need to report this to Twitter so they can fix the issue. Multiple complaints are needed or the issue will be ignored.

I just checked and it looks like it is working for me now. No more HttpConnectionTimeout message. And I see the card.
