Trouble figuring out paths

wordpress

#1

Hello all,

I am installing a custom font per these instructions: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/custom-fonts-css/. I uploaded everything via FTP and added the URL in the @fontface block of the custom CSS section of my theme. The format I used is: ‘/home/user/site-domain-name/wp-content/themes/theme-name/fonts/font-name/font-filename’

Here’s the problem. In the tutorial, the URL is of the following format: ‘public_html/site-domain-name/wp-content/themes/theme-name/fonts/font-name/font-filename’

I’m having trouble mapping this to DreamHost’s configuration. Since I have the path wrong, the custom font is not loading.

Thanks in advance.

Hello @sydbarrett74,

Our apologies for the delay. Can you confirm the name of your domain?
The format you have is accurate: ‘/home/user/site-domain-name/wp-content/themes/theme-name/fonts/font-name/font-filename’ but we can clarify that for you a bit. You just need to move it up a level past the public_html. You can always submit a ticket to our Technical Support team: https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/en-us/articles/215722447-Contacting-DreamHost-via-email

Thank you!
