Thunderbird Problems

I just set up an email account for my site through Thunderbird. The email address has been active for the last month. My problem is I can receive mail but I can’t send any. Does anyone have a clue what I need to do to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Is Thunderbird reporting any error messages?

Is your ISP restricting port 25 to its own outgoing mailservers? If so, find the “Outgoing Server (SMTP)” settings and change the port from 25 to 587.

And if you upgraded Thunderbird, make sure any firewall/antivirus software is not blocking it.
