Third level domain to IP

#1

Is it possible to map a third level domain to a non-DH IP within the DH panel? I can’t seem to find anything about it and I have an application based on a platform DH doesn’t support running on another service, but would like to keep it within the same domain as several apps I have on DH.

Yes. Click the “DNS” link under the main domain in the Manage Domains section of the DreamHost Panel, then add an “A” record with the desired name and IP address. For instance, if you wanted to map “sub.domain.example.com” to the IP 192.0.2.3, you’d create an A record under “example.com” with the name “sub.domain” and the value “192.0.2.3”.

Just a suggestion, it would also be nice if this quick step could be posted up at WIKI, it would help users a lot with this task.
