Temporarily disable WordPress sites in shared plan to test if performance improves on other site?

I have a shared plan on DreamHost (Shared Unlimited) and run a few websites on it. Those websites do not have traffic at all at the moment (at least not from what I am aware of).

3 sites + 4 test sites run under my account.

I am interested now in the performance of those sites and want to understand:

  1. If the performance of site A improves if I disable site B, C, D, E, F
  2. If I need to work on the WordPress site itself to take care about the performance (disable plugins, minimize code, etc.) or if my shared plan is simply not good enough when it comes to performance

Being able to disable the site so that they do not use any CPU/memory anymore would be a good start I think.
