Symlinks and shell [Solved]

I am trying to setup a symlink between two folders in

I go into shell and creat the link thusly

ln -s cd ls Pictures cd Pictures -bash: cd: Pictures: No such file or directory

and that breaks everything I am trying to do. I can’t see Pictures via FTP either permissions set for 755

Symlinks are resolved relative to the link — the link you created was effectively from to, which is almost certainly not what you want.

Either one of these alternatives would work:

That answer came to me in the middle of lunch

ln -s /path/to/ /path/to/

works, now to work on a totally unrelated formating issue
