SVN Troubles

#1

I set up SVN on my account, and I’ve had a lot of trouble with it. After dealing with a permission issue, now when I try to Import or Browse it fails on the OPTIONS command with the message “Could not read status line: connection was closed by server.”

I’ve searched far and wide with no luck on trouble shooting. Anyone had similar issues?

#2

I’m having the same problem since 2 or 3 days ago: Could not read status line: connection was closed by server." My SVN repositories was working well for several weeks until now.

I’m having the same problem since 5 ago.

#4

Yeap. We are having the same issue, as well as a number of other problems – all of which began this past Sunday (and none of them have been resolved).

What web / fileservers are you on?

#5

We are also having this issue with svn. I’d tell you what server I am on, but the panel isn’t responding…

Edit:
Fileservers - pistone, tastesgreat, charger
Web Server - pistone

Hi all,

I had had same issue, and I kludged it using svn+ssh:// instead of http://.

Note that we have to use svn+ssh://svn.example.com/home/{username}/svn/{projectname}/ instead of http://svn.example.com/{projectname}

Exact same problem here. I can work around it with svn+ssh, but don’t want to. Has anyone found a resolution for this?

#8

I had the exact same problem and asked the dreamhost support team about it. They then rebooted the server and everything was up and running again…

#9

Same here. It was an apache config error, and support was able to fix it right up for me.
