Support contact form down

#1

Okay, GRRRR. My database apparently tanked about two hours ago, such that trying to load anything on my site results in a message reading “Unable to connect to your database. Your database appears to be turned off or the database connection settings in your config file are not correct. Please contact your hosting provider if the problem persists.”

So I’ve tried to contact my hosting provider. Repeatedly. But the support contact form only gives me a massive hash of perl errors. And there’s no information at status, no announcements, no info anywhere.

Does anybody have, say, an EMAIL address where I could actually contact someone and find out what gives?

My frustration levels are really high, as this is my third major outage since the 14th, and I can get no info anywhere…

Thanks, etc. --KF

Try again, panel, mysql hiccup. just experienced similar. all back up now.

#3

No dice. No site, no working support form. No nothing.

#4

Hmmm…

My site went down some time ago - been trying to contact DH through their panel. What I get (and have been getting for a while) is:

… and their Emergency Status page says:
Update: Wednesday, 9/14/05 6:40PM PDT… the previously-misbehaving core router is no longer having issues, it’s AOK!

Hmmmm…

It sure seems like it isn’t just my site that’s having problems.

#5

Yep, that’s the hash I’m getting, too. Of course, now my site’s back up. I’ll hope to get some kind of announcement about what the heck happened.

#6

I am getting this error too, which is ridiculous given that this is how we are supposed to get in touch with Dreamhost.

This is the raw output, in case you’re interested.

I believe support@dreamhost.com works as well, but you need to send from an email address that’s already linked to your account.
