I can’t for the life of me get svnX to authenticate to my repository. I give it my username and my password just like I use to FTP (its a shell account) and it just keeps asking for a password. I have no clue what could be wrong. Thanks!
svn users and shell users are different. you can look at the files in ~/svn/ named reponame.access to see what kind of users have access, and reponame.passwd to see a list of usernames and encrypted passwords.

All SVN (for repositories created the standard way via the DH control panel) access has to go through http connections . The repository is owned by the dhapache user and served over http urls via mod_dav_svn. SVN+SSH wouldn’t work unless you created the repository yourself (separately from the DH panel).
