Subdomain won't stop redirecting to deleted MySQL server

#1

I am trying to install a small application on a subdomain (x.example.com). Instead of just creating a new database in phpMyAdmin I accidentally created a new hostname using the subdomain address. The hostname (I didn’t know the difference at the time) redirected me to mysql.example.com.

I’ve deleted the hostname, created a new db in phpMyAdmin, and created the appropriate subdomain. WP is loaded into the example.com directory, and the application is loaded into the x.example.com directory. x.example.com points to a broken phpMyAdmin link, and example.com cannot connect to db.

I am not very familiar with SSH, but how might I go about configuring the db connections between the domains so that example.com can display the website (wp-config?) and x.example.com displays the app instead of redirecting to phpMyAdmin? What other information is relevant to help solve this issue?

Thank you
