SSH "DNS SPoofing Detected"

#1

I’ve just recently moved one of my sites to Dreamhost and got the actual domain transferred and completed today. I’m trying to log in using SSH and I received this odd message:

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
@ WARNING: POSSIBLE DNS SPOOFING DETECTED! @
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
The RSA host key for jarodtaylor.com has changed,
and the key for the corresponding IP address 69.163.237.235
is unknown. This could either mean that
DNS SPOOFING is happening or the IP address for the host
and its host key have changed at the same time.
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
@ WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED! @
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOMEONE IS DOING SOMETHING NASTY!
Someone could be eavesdropping on you right now (man-in-the-middle attack)!
It is also possible that the RSA host key has just been changed.

Please contact your system administrator.
Add correct host key in /Users/jtaylor/.ssh/known_hosts to get rid of this message.
Offending key in /Users/jtaylor/.ssh/known_hosts:5
RSA host key for jarodtaylor.com has changed and you have requested strict checking.
Host key verification failed.

Does anyone know what this is or if it’s probably just due to my recent transfer?

Thanks,

Jarod

Your software is using a key provided from your old host (different IP).

Tell the software to accept (and update) the new key.

Yeah, I just looked at my local “known_hosts” file and removed it.

Thanks!
