New to using Wordpress, but 40 years experience working with computers, software, databases, etc.
Purchased a 3rd party theme and loaded it.
Changing items in Header & Footer. Some items are saved, like the logos. But the top bar icons, if I modify or remove one, save it (as draft), leave and return it’s unchanged.
What am I missing?

If you are not already doing so, clear your browser’s cache before you check the changes.
Already tried that. When I make the change, leave Appearance>Customize… and go back into Appearance>Customize… the change is not there.
Is it possible that with this particular theme, I need to directly change the css?
