Slow loading speed after I've moved my WordPress site to VPS

I realized that my WordPress site is loading much slower after I have moved to VPS 1GB Ram/30GB.

I’m running on Apache, php 7 FasctCGI. Memory limit 128MB.

Is there anything I have misconfigured? Here’s my htaccess:

BEGIN WordPress

RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] # END WordPress

php_value memory_limit 128M

Your .htaccess file looks pretty standard you could try to add caching through your htaccess file which may help performance
# Sets the caching time of the given files
<FilesMatch “.(flv|gif|jpg|jpeg|png|ico|swf|js|css|pdf)$”>
Header set Cache-Control “max-age=2592000”

compress text, html, javascript, css, xml

AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/plain
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/html
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/xml
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/css
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/xml
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/xhtml+xml
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/rss+xml
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/javascript
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/x-javascript
You would also need to set any php values in a phprc file also rather than in the .htaccess file

You would be able to set the following values in the phprc

max_execution_time = 500 memory_limit = 128M
