Site "Temporarily" Unavailable

#1

My website is http://valerie.one-wish.org - I am hosted under the domain http://one-wish.org. My host has been in communicado for over a year now, so I have no idea how to reach her and get a response.

The problem is when I try to go to my site, it reads:
Site Temporarily Unavailable
We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact the webmaster/ tech support immediately to have them rectify this.

error id: “bad_httpd_conf”

I can’t get into my control panel either. (My server is garvey.dreamhost.com.) I haven’t been able to log in or view my site for about a week now. Since I’m not the owner of the domain, is there anything I can do to fix this?

If you’re not the one-wish.org owner, there’s not much you can do except hope that the owner responds.

Your best bet would be to contact support and ask them to “re-start” your subdomain. There’s a panel trick to trigger an Edit and Save for your subdomain, which wakes up the server, but without access to the panel, you’d have to see if Support can help you out.
