Site slow

My site is very slow; is it just me?

Nope,
I’ve been dealing with my site being slow over a week now. Moved servers. Completely down over the weekend, back up today but 15 second or worse load times. I have a ticket in.

It’s kind of disheartening. I just started with Dreamhost last week. I hope this is very temporary and rare.

Yeah, I’ve been having some slowness that started Friday afternoon, got better, then got worse, then got better. Hmm.

Not just you, all my sites are dirt slow. Support claims everything is fine.

On the bright side, I’m getting good bandwidth as I copy my sites to my new host.

Apparently this is the cause:

URL’ed for the lazy (or stupid like me - click click hey! why can’t I click on the link!)

I’m at least a little happier that the priority has been bumped up to high from low.

I love that psychological effect! Simply seeing that DreamHost support thinks a problem affecting me is high priority makes me feel better. This is like when I set up the bug tracking system for one of my systems. The priorities were like soft drink sizes or olives: “medium” “high” “critical”.

This doesn’t make me feel any better.
