Site Lockout Notification

I keep getting a message from Dreamhost that "a host … has been locked out of the WordPress site at …

  1. due to too many login attempts. You may login to the site to manually release the lock if necessary."
    OR
  2. “due to too many attempts to open a file that does not exist”

I think the first is somebody trying to hack the account, but I don’t know about the second. How can troubleshoot this and be sure I don’t have a broken link? thanks in advance!

lol im actually still locked out of mine…i just use a proxy…i have no clue why…Its been like that for 4 days now…Once i log in via proxy i shut proxy off and im just fine

Uninstall the plug-in that causes it and debug, or use a method that works correctly.
