Can anyone help me. I do not have experience with VPS. Was told I was using too much memory and all my processes are getting killed on shared . Am trying VPS for one week and I very lost and can’t seem to get any help.

I am using FTP because I am still learning shell.

Still have memory issues - I don’t understand (that’s another thread)

I want to increases php memory.

Created .php folder, in that folder, 5.3 folder. Then the instructions say create a text file of phprc WITHOUT the text extension. I can’t do it.

I can hide extension in windows but when I try to upload via Filezilla, the .txt extension is there.

If I change it, the icon changes from text to all files.

Can someone tell me how to do it?

You can rename the file on the server, using Filezilla, to remove the .txt extension.

You should be able to right-click on the file and choose rename from the context menu.
