Setting up folders using Anon FTP?

Someone is sending me all the files for an existing site and has asked me to set up folders named

art
photos
video

so he can upload the files to the appropriate folders.

Is there a way to set these folders up for anonymous FTP? i don’t see anything addressing this. The only directions I see involve setting up permissions for posting.

You need a (paid for) unique IP address to host anonymous FTP. It’d be easier to set up a subdomain with its own FTP user for the upload. When you want to grab the files, use that same username and password you gave that person for the uploads.
