Setting up E-Mails


I’m trying to setup a couple of E-Mail accounts with one of my domains but keep getting the following error message:

“This domain isn’t properly set up for DreamHost mail. Please contact support and ask us to fix your mail cluster!”

I try E-Mailing Dreamhost, but no luck.


If you emailed support from an account that isn’t registered on your account it won’t work. The best way to open a new ticket with support is via the panel


I did open a ticket from the account I registered and hosted the domain.

Hopefully I’ll get a response soon.


There are other advantages to using the panel when opening a new ticket. The questions asked route the ticket to the correct place and establish it’s priority. Emailing from a registered account will work but is definitely not the “best way”.
