Setting up a shared git repository

#1

About a year ago one of the users on our shared-server Dreamhost account set up a git repository in a subdirectory of his home folder. He followed instructions at http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Git#Shared_repository.
He has been using it successfully since then as a remote repo for just himself, with ssh git access to the repository.

Now we want to allow more users to access the existing projects in that git repository. Since the new users cannot ssh to the original owner’s home directory, how should we go about setting this up? Is it even possible on a shared DH server?

Thanks for any advice.

Liz

I have the same needs.

FYI, I assumed it would be just too difficult, and ended up setting up git repositories (free) at bitbucket. Very happy with that solution so far.

Great to know.
I will use it. I just a private git repo for 2 users.

Thanks
