Setting time zones

I really hate when I can’t figure stuff out myself, but I’ve had no luck with this. I have two domains, one in Alaska and one in New Hampshire. I can not for the life of me find documentation on how to set time zones for each domain. They all just default to PST.

If anyone knows how to do this, I’d appreciate the solution muchly! Thanks in advance. -Valarie

You can’t update the time on the server, you’ll have to do it through scripting. Many apps have this ability built in, and it’s just a matter of seting them corectly. If you’re writing you’re own stuff you’ll have to set it to add or subtract the appropiate number of hours from the server time.

I found this php line via a Google search:

putenv(“TZ=US/Eastern”);

It’ll have to be in your site, either in a globally Included file, or each PHP script. A list of time zones is at:
http://www.theprojects.org/dev/zone.txt
