I’m just wondering if anyone knows of a permanent way to set the time zone for MySQL. I’m EST and the servers are 3 hours behind.
I know I can use the DATE_ADD() function, but I’d rather not have to add that bit of code to every single instance I have of inserting a date/time.
I also know of “SET time_zone = ‘-5:00’;”, but again, I’d rather not have to repeat that code over and over. Though I suppose I could just include it in my own MySQL connect function.
Regardless, like I said I’m just wondering if anyone knows of a one-time solution to this, or has any other suggestions. I appreciate the help!
