On Monday, February 9th starting at 10AM, our cloud engineering team will be performing two maintenance operations on DreamCompute. The first item will be to deploy a change to all routers to correct an issue where the broadcast address is not always properly set. The second item will be a database move from virtual to physical hardware.
Router Change: The change to the router will require a reboot to your tenant’s router. This will mean a short period of connectivity loss to your running instances from two to ten minutes. We expect this change to resolve intermittent slow ping and transfer times to instances.
Database Move: The move of several databases will allow us to move from slower hardware to higher performing physical hardware. Access to the APIs, the DreamCompute dashboard, and booting new instances will be temporarily unavailable while the team moves the data.
Be sure to follow the DreamHost status blog for updates.
UPDATE: The maintenance window is now closed. We are still investigating intermittent IPv6 issues on a limited number of instances. If you are still seeing issues, please contact support.
