Restoral from backup

A recent advisory on Dreamhost Status said “Our attempts to repair the damage were not fruitful, so we have restored your home directories from backup …The data restore affects exactly 45 users data, outside of any downtime, so this most likely does not apply to you.”

But how do I know if it applies to me?

Question 1: if it applies to me, would I have received a specific email advising me of this?

Question 2: would that email say what was the date of the backup from which the directories were restored?

I believe they do try and E-mail you if the data loss effected you. The backups were probably an hour or less old. They do fairly regular backups, so the data shouldn’t be old at all.
