Redundant process

vps

#1

Hello,

I’m having problems with my VPS. One TI Profissional said me this:
Hi Edmar,

I’ve caught something interesting already. When the server load is high there are a lot of PHP processes that belong to user “unipress” and that use a lot of memory (the number below indicates the % of memory used by that process).

unipress 3.7 php5.cgi
unipress 3.7 php5.cgi
unipress 3.7 php5.cgi
unipress 3.7 php5.cgi
unipress 3.7 php5.cgi
unipress 3.7 php5.cgi
unipress 3.7 php5.cgi
unipress 3.7 php5.cgi
etc…

This could be because those processes are hanging.

You need to look over the PHP scripts that you have running under that user. What could cause them to hang? A possibility is that another resource, maybe a database, is not responding quickly enough.

Of course it could also just be high web traffic during those times, but then your PHP scripts eat up a lot of memory and you may want to make them more efficient."
Who can teach me for correct the problem?

This user has a wordpress blog running.

Thanks.
